About Mrs. Keith

Mrs. Keith grew up in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, where she attended Southmoreland School District.  Mrs. Keith graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in music education.  With a concentration in flute, Mrs. Keith also gained experience through participation in band ensembles, choral ensembles, orchestra, flute ensemble, IUP Marching band (served as Piccolo section leader and a band officer) and the University Lab school internship.

Following graduation, Mrs. Keith served several districts as a substitute teacher then moved to the Brockway/DuBois area after marrying Rob Keith (DAHS chemistry teacher).  Beginning January 2005, Mrs. Keith has worked full time in the DuBois district and has taught DAMS 6th-8th Grade band/6th Grade music (2005-2013), Oklahoma Elementary Music/5th Grade Chorus (2013-2018) and DAMS 5th Grade Chorus/5th Grade Rhythm and Movement/Band Assist 6th-8th (2018-present).

Mrs. Keith is married to Mr. Keith and has a son, Wesley.  The Keith family enjoys watching Marvel movies, Star Wars movies, hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, playing wiffleball, tennis, playing instruments and playing with their three guinea pigs:  Piggy Don, Piggy Toast and Piggy Mallow.  Mrs. Keith also enjoys reading, baking, dancing (especially tap!) and listening to music.

Our music department at DAMS values music in every format.  Students are encouraged to participate in chorus, band, modern band (ukulele, guitar, bass, keyboard and percussion) in addition to other forms of music creation.
